A new Dunkin’ is proposed for Route 70 in Cherry Hill, with plans to convert a former Fulton Bank building into the popular coffee and donut chain. The site is located on westbound Route 70 immediately after the Interstate 295 interchange, positioning the property at a highly visible and heavily traveled intersection.
The former bank building sits at a strategic location near a jug-handle turnaround and serves as a gateway to Frontage Road, making it well-suited for a high-volume quick-service restaurant. As part of the proposed redevelopment, direct driveway access from Route 70 would be eliminated. Instead, customer access would be routed through Frontage Road, which would feature two dedicated driveways.
This redesigned access plan is expected to significantly improve traffic flow and on-site circulation, particularly for the drive-thru. By allowing vehicles to queue around the building, the layout would better accommodate peak traffic periods and reduce congestion along Route 70.
While the exact construction date of the existing building is unclear, historical records indicate the property dates back to at least the mid-1980s, when it was occupied by United Jersey Bank. The proposed Dunkin’ redevelopment reflects a broader trend of repurposing former bank branches into retail and food-and-beverage uses across South Jersey.
