The Bahama Breeze restaurant at Cherry Hill Mall in Cherry Hill, New Jersey will close on or before April 5, 2026. The closure was announced by parent company Darden Restaurants.
Bahama Breeze is a Caribbean-inspired restaurant known for seafood, chicken, steaks, and tropical cocktails. The brand features a beach-themed atmosphere designed to create a vacation-style dining experience.
The restaurant is part of the Darden Restaurants portfolio, one of the largest full-service restaurant operators in the United States. Darden also owns Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Yard House, Capital Grille, Seasons 52, Eddie V’s, and Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen.
Although Bahama Breeze is a recognized name in the Philadelphia region, it represents a small portion of Darden’s overall portfolio. The chain operates only 28 locations nationwide, compared to more than 930 Olive Garden restaurants and over 600 LongHorn Steakhouse locations.
Earlier this year, Darden announced that Bahama Breeze was no longer a strategic priority. As a result, the brand was reviewed for potential sale, conversion, or closure. Darden has now confirmed that 14 Bahama Breeze locations will permanently close.
In the Greater Philadelphia area, locations in Cherry Hill, King of Prussia, and Newark, Delaware are on the closure list. All affected restaurants will remain open through April 5.
The Cherry Hill Mall location sits within one of South Jersey’s busiest retail corridors. As a result, the closure creates a new opportunity for future restaurant, entertainment, or retail tenants in a prime location.
