BuyBuy Baby is closing all remaining stores, including Cherry Hill, as it shifts to an online-only model. Closing sales are underway, with gift cards accepted in-store until Oct. 31. All stores will shut by the end of the year. The company will continue offering baby registries online, where gift cards can also be redeemed. Once operating around 120 stores, BuyBuy Baby’s brick-and-mortar presence lasted only a year after its revival attempt. Last year, its intellectual property and trademark rights were sold for $15.5 million to Dream On Me Industries during Bed Bath & Beyond’s bankruptcy.
